Skating in Ottawa

The winter is in full swing and it's time to lace up your skates. There are so many great skating options in the city from community rinks, to refrigerated rinks, and forrest trials.

Community rinks

These volunteer run rinks can be found across the city. If you haven't found the rink close to you yet, then take a look at the map online.

Refrigerated rinks

These are run by the City and are zambonied for smooth ice. You can find the rinks at City Hall (Rink of Dreams), Ben Franklin Place, and Jim Tubman Chevrolet Rink. The City updates the open/closed status on it's website Ottawa.ca.

There is also a refrigerated rink at Rideau Hall for all to enjoy.

Forrest trails

These beautiful trails offer something different. Skate through the trees in the sunshine or follow stunning lights at night.
